He spent 35 Years in IAS
Following his retirement from the IAS in 2008, Rai was appointed comptroller and auditor general
He was appointed as Comptroller and Auditor General of India Mr. Vinod Rai took over as the Comptroller & Auditor General of India on 7th January 2008
He will retire on May 22, 2013, the day before his 65th Birthday

He is currently chairman of United Nations Panel of External Auditors and member of the Governing Board of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI)

So Rai just called over a government driver and asked him to drive without giving him any
